National
Agreement for the Promotion of Farmer Field Schools signed in Peru
The Peruvian Government, along with several national and
international institutions interested in the promotion of the Farmer Field
Schools (FFS) methodology in cacao, signed a National Agreement to formalize
their commitment. See the

technology transfer seminar in Ecuador
ACCESO organized
the "Andean Regional Workshop of Technological Application in Cacao" on March
6-8, 2005 in Quevedo, Ecuador. See the

Farmer Field
Schools start in Peru with Trainer-of-Trainer Seminars
Implementation
of the Farmer Field Schools (FFS) in cacao started in Peru with 2
trainer-of-trainer seminars organized by the Tropical Crops Institute (ICT).
During these seminars, that took place from February 6-11, 2006 in Tingo Maria
and from February 20-25, 2006 in Quillabamba, nearly 60 field technicians
received training to improve their extension skills under this methodology. The
trained personnel will contribute to ACCESO's implementation of Farmer Field
Schools of cacao in Peru.

Launch Conference
ACCESO was
successfully launched during a conference in Lima, Peru on June 2-3, 2005. More
than 100 participants attended the event. See the
