Promotional and MEM Awareness Visit to Dominica. On September 12, 2005 a MEM Promotional Visit to raise awareness among various government agencies was made to Dominica. The visit also highlighted the importance and the benefits of the MEM. Roseau, Dominica (Visits to the Ministry of Health and workshop at the West Indies University)

A MEM Promotional Visit to Belize was made on August 29-30, 2006. The visit consisted of meetings with authorities from various government agencies involved with the MEM process. The meetings highlighted the roles of the governmental agencies during the evaluation period, how the MEM functions, and the benefits to the country provided by the MEM.

Meeting of Caribbean National Drug Observatories Bridgetown, Barbados June 14-16, 2005
A three-day meeting, coordinated by
CICAD's Inter-American Observatory on Drugs (OID) was held
in Barbados to highlight the critical role that research and
information plays within national drug observatories, to
promote the establishment and development of national drug
observatories in the region, and to demonstrate the link
between observatories and the MEM process, among other
issues. Angela Crowdy, Coordinator of the MEM Unit,
presented a brief overview of the MEM and addressed the
recommendations assigned by the MEM to the Caribbean in the
Third Evaluation Round.
