Launching the Drug Treatment Court Initiative (DTC-Caribbean)

Justice Paul Bentley, (Ontario Court of Justice), Toronto Drug Treatment Court, and Chair of the International Association of Drug Treatment Courts (IADTC); Justice Kofi Barnes, (Ontario Court of Justice), Toronto Drug Treatment Court, and Chair of the Canadian Association of Drug Treatment Court Professionals (CADTC); Kevin Wilson, Crown Attorney (Federal) Toronto Drug Treatment Court, Canada; Joanne Capozzi, Crown Attorney (Provincial), Toronto Drug Treatment Court, Canada; Robin Cuff, Manager Toronto Drug Treatment Court (CAMH); and Antonio Lomba, CICAD/SMS/OAS meet in Banff, Canada during the CADTC Conference to start organizing a Canadian Task Force to be one of the counterparts from Canada for this DTC-Caribbean initiative (Banff, Canada. October 2010).

This initiative is being executed under the umbrella of OAS´s DTC-Americas Initiative. DTC-Caribbean is being carried out by the Organization of the American States (OAS) through the Inter-American Drug Abuse Control Commission (CICAD) of the Secretariat for Multidimensional Security (SMS) and funded by the Government of Canada through the Anti-Crime Capacity Building Program (ACCBP), and administered by the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT).Some strategic partners: Canadian Association of Drug Treatment Court Professionals (CADTC) and the International Association of Drug Treatment Courts (IADTC)
