National Secretariat for Drug Policy

The National Secretariat for Drug Policy (SENAD) is the national drug authority of Brazil. SENAD was established in 1998 and is at the highest level within the Ministry of Justice, Executive Branch, only under the Presidency of the Republic. In addition to the Ministry of Justice, other organs of the Federal Executive Branch make up their management level, at the level of the Ministry of Health, Social Assistance and Education, among others.
