National Commission
The National Council of Narcotic Drugs is the national drug authority in Colombia, was established in 1973. This Council is in the first line of the institutional structure of the Colombian State. Acting as an advisor to the National Government in charge of formulating, coordinating and monitoring public policy on drugs and related crimes. It falls under the Ministry of Justice and of the Law and is regulated by the National Statute of Narcotics.
