The 2014 NIDA International Forum builds international collaborative research on drug abuse. The research symposium, poster session, and network-building activities focused on the range and quality of drug abuse research conducted around the world. Participants met talented colleagues and learned about drug abuse research and policy issues in other countries as well as the NIDA-supported fellowships and other programs that can support international collaborations.

Marya Hynes offered a presentation on New Psychoactive Substances in the Americas, and CICAD/UNODC collaborative efforts in the region. Maria Demarco presented a poster on Patterns of marijuana use among university students in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.
