National Counterdrug Intelligence Seminar in collaboration with the French Customs

The Supply Reduction Section coordinated the delivery of a national seminar in Antigua and Barbuda (July 7-11, 2014) on Maritime Counterdrug Intelligence.

This seminar, funded by the Government of Canada, is the first activity within the framework of the Caribbean Regional Counterdrug Intelligence Training School initiative. CICAD and the Government of Trinidad and Tobago, with Canadian funding have been working together to establish this regional entity.

The current seminar focused on various means of maritime narcotrafficking and the techniques to gather and analyze intelligence and information to better focus investigation and interdiction activities.

The seminar was delivered in partnership with French Customs which provided trainers from the DNRED located in Martinique.

The Executive Secretariat recognizes the important support for the seminar received from the country Office of the OAS in Antigua and Barbuda and from the office of the Office of National Drug and Money Laundering Control Policy (ONDCP) in the host country.
