System of Uniform Data on Drug Use

In order to comply with the OID Mission and in accordance with the provisions of the Hemispheric Drug Strategy of 2010, the OID promotes study methodologies that allow obtaining comparable information among countries, but also homogeneous in a country over time. Hence, we make available to the national drug observatories and the general public study protocols, under the Uniform Data System on Drug Consumption (SIDUC), which point to such purposes, which can be freely used by pointing to the source correspondent. These methodologies allow the estimation of demand for drugs in order to obtain information, construct explanatory concepts and sustain the response to the problem of the consumption of psychoactive substances (SPA).
