Through a
joint effort between the
Inter-American Drug Abuse Control Commission (CICAD)
through the
Inter-American Observatory on Drugs (OID) and
the
National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) of
the United States, proposals are being solicited to
assist OID meet its mission of:
§ Serving as a tool that facilitates the collection of
objective, reliable, comparable, and up-to-date
information throughout the hemisphere,
§ To
help understanding of the drug problem and
§
Confront the issue in all its dimensions.

AWARD FUND announcement.  Proposals
should be submitted through the national drug council in
your country. Each national drug council must certify
that it approves and supports the proposal by signing
the Proposal Submission Form. The national drug council
is responsible for submitting proposals to the CICAD
Executive Secretariat for consideration.
CICAD requests that the national drug
commissions send proposals to the CICAD Executive
Secretariat electronically, preferably via e-mail to Ms.
Adriana Gutierrez at
agutierrez@oas.org no later than November
3, 2006. Please type in the subject line: “Attention
